Falling In Love Is Easy In Summerlin
The broad variety of homes available in Summerlin make it easy to find one to fall in love with. Chris Stacey had already fallen in love with and purchased two Summerlin homes by the time he met Celena Haas at a friend’s Summerlin home in 2005. In 2011 they purchased a home together in Summerlin’s Serrano neighborhood in The Paseos. It was the perfect fit for the now married couple, who wanted extra space for their two dogs.
“We wanted a house with a backyard which was more open than most,” said Celena Stacey. “We were extremely lucky to find this house which overlooks Paseo park and the beautiful red rock mountains. It’s absolutely stunning.”
Their gated community, built and completed by Toll Brothers in 2007, is now a part of the growing Paseos village that currently has four neighborhoods with new homes available all modeled in Spanish, Mediterranean or Contemporary-style architecture.
Toll Brothers currently offers Santaluz, a popular single story neighborhood with which new home buyers have been falling in love. The neighborhood’s three floor plans each include three-car garages, a 12-foot Andersen accordion door that opens to the backyard and options including a casita and decorative enhancements like cabinet-front kitchen appliances. Homes range from 2,495 to 2,874 square feet and start in the low $500,000s.
Woodside Homes currently offers two distinct styles at its Andorra neighborhood. Castille at Andorra offers three, two-story floor plans ranging from 2,236 to 2,518 square feet. They include three or four bedrooms and two-and-a-half bathrooms. Seville at Andorra offers four floor plans including one single-level home. They range from 2,013 to 3,147 square feet and include three to five bedrooms and up to four-and-a-half baths. Spacious great rooms and gourmet kitchens highlight these homes along with architectural add-ons including dual master-bedroom walk-in closets and a second master bedroom suite. Several homes also offer covered loggias, porches or a casita. Homes start in the upper $300,000s.
Lennar currently has two separate neighborhoods in The Paseos and each is Energy STAR certified. Catalina offers five floor plans ranging from 2,050 to 3,285 square feet and includes one single-story home. Designs include a variety of options including up to five bedrooms and three-and-a half bathrooms, 19-foot ceiling heights and distinct indoor and outdoor living spaces including a first floor master bedroom or guest bedroom suite, separate dining and living rooms, a bonus room, front porch, covered mirador, extended covered loggia with fireplace and an optional balcony adjacent to the master bedroom suite. Homes start in the low $300,000s.
Lennar’s Esperanza neighborhood has four floor plans including one with a partial second level guest suite with private living room, bedroom, bathroom and optional kitchenette. Floor plans range from 3,242 to 3,864 square feet and offer a standard four or five bedrooms, three or three-and-a half baths, three-bay garages and landscaped front yards. Standout options include up to seven bedrooms or a second master bedroom suite and include sun decks, super loggias, miradors, porches or courtyards. Prices start just under $500,000.
All of the neighborhoods have easy access to miles of trails that interconnect the villages, convenient shopping and the nearby 12.5-acre Paseo park, which includes a basketball court, sand volleyball court, children’s play area and an interactive water feature. “I have lived in the Summerlin area since 2000,” says Chris. “It is a great area for families and friends. Given the growth of restaurants and bars in the area there is really no need to leave.”
“We truly enjoy living in Summerlin so much so that my parents moved within a five minute drive of us,” adds Celena. “And now Chris’s parents will be moving to Summerlin later this year. We’ve watched this area develop into a wonderful community to live and hopefully one day raise a family.”
