Young Family Leaves Center Of Town For Sense Of Belonging At
Toll Brothers’ Altura Neighborhood In Summerlin®
The decision to move to Summerlin was a thoughtful one for the Rodrigues family. Chad and Mari, along with children, Kaia, 7, and Finn, 3, previously lived in one of the city’s historic neighborhoods closer to the center of town and really loved their large, spacious ranch-style home. Ultimately, it was Summerlin’s schools and sense of community that moved the family west to Toll Brothers’ Altura neighborhood in The Paseos village.
“We always knew we wanted to be close to good schools and part of an overall community with a strong sense of belonging, a place populated by other families with children of similar ages and interests,” said Chad. “Summerlin is that place for us,” he said. “There are so many young families in our neighborhood, and we have already made friends with many. Schools and parks are part of the fabric of this neighborhood, and we feel very comfortable here.”
Prior to coming to Las Vegas to open a business eight years ago, the family lived in a Toll Brothers’ home in Denver, Colorado. “We had such a good experience with Toll Brothers before, we knew we wanted to find another Toll Brothers home, so that made our search in Summerlin easier,” said Chad. “We chose Altura because of the size of the home and its amazing views. We literally have a view from every window in our house, including the valley and the Strip to the east and Red Rock Canyon to the west. On the north, we can see where cars enter the valley from Utah and exit on the south as they depart for California. That’s some view in all directions!”
The gated Altura neighborhood features four, elegantly designed, two-story floor plans ranging from 3,800 to 4,200 square feet. Each Altura floor plan features unique architectural elements, offering up to seven bedrooms, six-and-one-half baths, three-car garages and covered patios. Homes at Altura are priced from the $600,000s.
The 3,842squarefoot Provenza offers a formal dining room, first-floor bedroom with full bath, 21-foot ceiling heights in the great room, a craft pantry adjacent to the kitchen and a standard office with private powder room or optional attached casita.
The Venosa, at 4,037 square feet, includes an entry foyer with 20-foot ceiling, striking curved staircase, formal dining room, separate living room and planning center. Each secondary bedroom includes a walk-in closet. A courtyard, covered patio, master-suite covered deck and optional balcony adjacent to the loft offer multiple spaces for comfortable outdoor living.
The slightly larger Brescia floor plan (not modeled) spans 4,042 square feet and features a first floor guest suite with full bath and walk-in closet, optional attached casita in place of a single-bay garage, dual walk-in master bedroom closets and a huge covered patio and covered deck. A loft and bonus room offer additional indoor living space.
The expansive Sorrento, offering 4,237 square feet, features a foyer, curved staircase and large great room connecting kitchen and dining area. The first floor also offers a full bedroom suite and planning center or optional wet bar or wine cellar. The master-bedroom suite includes a sizeable private covered deck and large walk-in closet with island.
“Toll Brothers has a well-earned reputation for quality, and Altura is no exception,” said Danielle Bisterfeldt, VP – marketing, Summerlin. “These homes are gorgeous, and combined with Altura’s winning location that offers amazing views and immediate access to a robust list of amenities, the neighborhood continues to resonate well with those seeking the ultimate Summerlin lifestyle.”
Nestled near the 12-acre Paseos Park, with a second 14-acre community park in development, and within proximity of the Vistas Community Center and Pool, Altura is also located near two new schools. Doral Red Rock Academy is a state-sponsored charter school offering grades K-9 in fall 2016; a public elementary school operated by Clark County School District is slated to open for the 2017-18 school year. A neighborhood shopping center with grocery store, gas station and multiple eateries is nearby. The Paseos is just minutes from the 215 beltway, offering convenient access to McCarran International Airport, the Las Vegas Strip and Downtown Summerlin, the 106-acre shopping, dining and entertainment destination in the heart of the master-planned community.
