RETAILERS JOIN THE LINE-UP AT THE SHOPS AT SUMMERLIN
The master-planned community of Summerlin, known for its hallmark quality of life created by beautifully landscaped streets and neighborhoods and abundant outdoor amenities, will soon welcome the most highly anticipated new amenity in the valley: The Shops at Summerlin. Representatives from the Howard Hughes Corporation, developer of both Summerlin and The Shops at Summerlin, announced this week the names of several retailers joining the impressive and growing line-up of brand names at Southern Nevada’s newest regional retail and entertainment center opening this fall.
Leading the list are several top style-centric brands, including Michael Kors, True Religion, Sephora and Victoria’s Secret. Other new tenants coming to The Shops at Summerlin include American Eagle, The Art of Shaving, Bath & Body Works, Buckle, Clarks, Everything But Water, It’Sugar, Old Navy, Pandora, Resto Lounge, Sur La Table, Teavana and Ulta. These newest retail names join previously announced Nordstrom Rack and anchor tenants Dillard’s and Macy’s.
"We are excited to bring popular national and international brands we all know and love to this region of the valley," said Kevin Orrock, president of Summerlin. "No longer will residents in the north and west be forced to drive to the strip for a selection of quality shopping and dining options. This regional retail center, with convenient access from all parts in the valley via the 215 beltway, is destined to become THE place on the west side of the Las Vegas valley for entertainment and to shop, dine and work."
Located just east of the 215 beltway, adjacent Red Rock Casino Resort Spa, The Shops at Summerlin is part of a planned urban center currently under development as Downtown Summerlin. When complete, Summerlin’s new downtown will be home to more than 125 shops and restaurants along with entertainment, office, hotel and multi-family residential developments designed to create a vibrant, walkable urban core within the 22,500-acre master planned community.
While current Summerlin residents eagerly await this addition to their community, new home buyers can add The Shops to the long list of amenities featured here. Currently, 10 builders are offering 50 different floor plans in five villages with homes priced from the $200,000s up to more than $2.5 million.
