As the crown jewel of the Summerlin master-planned community, the Downtown Summerlin® area is envisioned as the new urban core of the community, encompassing nearly 400 acres between Charleston Boulevard and Sahara Avenue. The first phase, a 106-acre outdoor fashion, dining and entertainment destination, spans 1.4 million square feet, including One Summerlin®, the first Class A, Silver LEED certified office building in the area. Home to more than 125 brands, including many powerhouse names and first-to-market retailers and restaurants. Downtown Summerlin has welcomed more than one million visitors monthly since opening to significant fanfare and public acclaim in 2014.

Two years later, Downtown Summerlin was voted by southern Nevadans as the valley’s Best Shopping Center in the Las Vegas Review-Journal’s 2016 Best of Las Vegas poll. With the 2016 opening of Constellation—124 luxury, leased residential units on Town Center Drive—The Howard Hughes Corporation has expanded into approximately 200 developable acres in the Downtown Summerlin area east of Pavilion Center Drive. This marks the beginning of residential living in an area that will include approximately 4,000 multi-family units, as well as additional office, service, retail, park and entertainment space. The newest addition to Downtown Summerlin under current development is a two-rink practice facility for Las Vegas’ recently awarded National Hockey League franchise. Scheduled for completion in Summer 2017, the facility will be home to youth hockey and figure skating programs in addition to serving as headquarters for the city’s first professional sports franchise.
