Enjoy The Holiday Season At Downtown Summerlin

Downtown Summerlin’s inaugural holiday season offers a perfect blend of shopping, food, and festive fun for the entire family.

With more than 100 new stores and restaurants open at this retail, dining and entertainment destination near the 215 Beltway and Sahara Avenue, shoppers from all over Southern Nevada continue to enjoy exciting new stores and eateries, as well as seasonal concerts, events and special activities, all in a beautiful outdoor setting.

In addition to the traditional holiday tree, lighted Menorah and pictures with Santa, Downtown Summerlin has added a temporary outdoor skating rink called “Rock Rink.”  The ice skating rink measures 60 feet by 120 feet and offers views of the majestic mountains of Red Rock Canyon. Rock Rink has been popular with all age groups, including families or groups of friends looking for a fun activity, or couples seeking a memorable date night under the stars.

This outdoor entertainment venue will be open through mid-January, with a local DJ spinning music on Friday and Saturday evenings and a multicolored light show with music every hour from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. throughout the week. The skating fee of $15 includes skate rental, and crowds can also enjoy The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf food truck parked adjacent to the rink for warm drinks on cool nights skating under the 30-foot holiday tree overlooking the rink.

Whether you’ve been naughty or nice, there’s still time to visit Santa before he leaves with his elves on Christmas Eve. Photo packages start at $22. 

Also, don’t forget Fido this holiday season. Downtown Summerlin is a pet-friendly destination and offers pet photos with Santa on Tuesdays from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. This is a great way to create a lasting memory with your beloved pet. Santa is located under the Pavilion off of Rosemary Park Drive on the northern side of Downtown Summerlin.

Downtown Summerlin will continue with special holiday hours throughout the week, open from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Hours for Christmas Eve are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.  Santa photo hours can be viewed at www.downtownsummerlin.com, or by calling 702-832-1000. Please note that stores, restaurants and Regal Downtown Summerlin 5 may have extended hours throughout the holiday season.
