Sunday, March 15th at 4 PM & 7 PM
One of the most popular '60s musicals, Bye Bye Birdie is a colorful and splashy mix of boisterous rock 'n' roll satire and breezy showbiz formulas. Hip-swiveling singing idol Conrad Birdie, in a juicy send-up of Elvis-style narcissism, gets drafted into the army, but not before his managers arrange for him to bestow a last, symbolic kiss on one lucky Middle American Miss. This rollicking timepiece is notable today for its peppy score, energetic dancing and features Broadway classics: Put On a Happy Face, Kids, One Last Kiss and the beloved Telephone Song. With irreverent whimsy, this musical will leave you bopping all the way home.

With an infectiously unforgettable score from the Grammy and Oscar-winning theatre giant, Stephen Schwartz who also wrote Wicked, Godspell and Children of Eden, Pippin, a shape-shifting musical extravaganza, has been successfully produced all over the world and continues to captivate and appeal to the young at heart. Audiences will throw back the curtain of a twisted, traveling circus that includes acrobats, side show curiosities, a barking ringmaster and magic around every corner! The players of this jovial, mysterious and intriguing troupe will present in a play within a play the story of the young prince Pippin, heir to the Frankish throne, who is in search of the secret to true happiness and fulfillment. He is tempted, tricked and in many ways encouraged by many (played out by our band of fantastic circus members) to seek out a life that is “extraordinary” and in the end we’re challenged to wonder, did Pippin find true happiness in the glory and spectacle of the big-top, or was the happiness he was seeking underneath the grease-paint and behind the spotlight the whole time? This splashy, hilarious, touching and spectacle-driven tale, which won the Tony award on Broadway for Best Revival, captures true storytelling and will compel and mystify audiences young and old. Las Vegas audiences have never seen anything like Pippin.
