Silver Post is one of Downtown Summerlin’s hidden gems. Filled with a multitude of treasures including Native American jewelry and artifacts, home décor, crystals and minerals, the one-stop, locally owned haunt is a goldmine for one-of-a-kind items.
Here to share a few more insights on the brand is the owner, Aaron Sidranski and his wife, Sarah.
Q: Why Downtown Summerlin?
We chose Downtown Summerlin because we recognized that many of our previous clients resided near DTS. As a local, I grew up in the Lakes area and once Summerlin became a community, my family bought in the original Willows neighborhood just down the street from DTS. This is my neighborhood, and my customers are my neighbors!
Q: Tell us about your unique product assortment? What’s makes Silver Post so special?
Almost all of our items are designed and/or made by us. I have set up a vast network of contacts in the mining and jewelry world. I have visited various mines around the world and work directly with mine owners and manufacturers. I source direct and provide products not seen or sold elsewhere.
Q: We’ve heard this is where you met your wife? Is that true?
Yes! During my first year in business, I met my wife online. We chatted for a long time and never met in person. Many months later my beautiful bride to be walked into my shop and I recognized her from our online chats. After our first date I knew I had met my destiny. A few months later, I proposed to Sarah and the rest is history.
Q: What’s the most popular crystal you have in store?
The most popular crystal or mineral in my store is a tie between white buffalo turquoise and amethyst. The white buffalo turquoise is my number one stone in jewelry and amethyst is my most popular stone in the home decor category.
Q: Where do you get your unique products from?
I specialize in getting minerals from Mexico, Brazil, India, Uruguay and the USA.
Q: For Summerlin residents who aren’t familiar with your location, what would you like to tell them?
A lot of our jewelry is handmade and one-of-a-kind. Our home decor items are designed by friends and family. I proudly work with artisans and avoid working with factories that mass produce products. Everything we sell is unique.
Q: Best part about being at DTS?
DTS is a wonderful and diverse community! My customer base and staff remind me of my beautiful crystals. They come from all over the world. Crystals and minerals are just like people. Each has a story, a purpose and are unique just like the wonderful people I have met over the last 6 years in business!
