When the desert heat kicks in, Summerlin knows exactly how to keep things cool and fun.

Sure, the community is famous for its 300-plus parks and 200-mile trail system, but come summer, it’s the pools that really steal the spotlight. With three resident-only pools—there’s no shortage of places to splash, swim, and socialize.

From laid-back afternoons floating in the water to swim lessons and competitive action with the Summerlin Seals, these pools are more than just a way to beat the heat—they’re where community happens. Kids build confidence, neighbors connect, and families find their go-to summer hangouts.

The legacy started with The Trails Community Center and Pool, a longtime favorite that’s been bringing residents together since 1995. Today, it’s joined by The Vistas and The Willows, each offering their own lively water scene via Olympics-sized pools.

Behind it all is the Summerlin Council, the nonprofit that keeps the community buzzing with everything from swim teams to sports leagues and classes.

Summerlin is also home to two public aquatic centers open to everyone, including the Veterans Memorial Leisure Services Center operated by the City of Las Vegas. It boasts one Olympic-sized pool with a second one opening later this year! Clark County’s Aquatic Springs Indoor Pool offers year-round swimming that feels like an outdoor escape.
