Twelve-year-old Enzo Riga, whose family are longtime Summerlin residents, literally lights up when he talks about the Downtown Summerlin Holiday Parade!  Enzo, who attends Doral Academy Red Rock, is a break dance afficionado who trains with the Alchemy Breaking Academy but was initially self-taught and learned much from watching his Dad, Anthony, break dance in the family’s home.

You can easily spot Enzo in the Downtown Summerlin Holiday Parade.  He’s a real stand-out as a “Who,” wearing a purple wig. In the Halloween Parade of Mischief, in which he has participated for two years, he was “Jigsaw” and rode a bicycle.

Enzo, who also plays soccer and loves tap and hip hop in addition to break dancing, is a natural performer, says his mom, Sharon. “He has always loved performing for people, whether it was dancing or acting. We have no doubt he belongs on the stage somewhere!”

Enzo, who aspires to teach break dancing one day, says he looks forward to every Friday and Saturday in November and December because he gets to interact with the crowd at the Holiday Parade. “It’s fun to wear the costumes and the make-up, but I like performing for the crowd best.  I like to see people smile!”
