The results are in! Summerlin residents have once again selected their favorite places, amenities, events and professionals in the community in the 2018 Best of Summerlin competition. Via an online vote, favorites were named from three finalists in each of 16 categories after a three-week voting period. While some names are repeats from previous years, new names appear on the list as the community, and in particular, Downtown Summerlin, continues to grow and add new and exciting brands to its line-up.

“With the opening of Downtown Summerlin® and a number of other businesses throughout the masterplanned community, the collection of contenders for the Best of Summerlin competition continues to grow,” said Danielle Bisterfeldt, VP- marketing, Summerlin. “This competition allows us to showcase and celebrate the venues, facilities, restaurants and other popular places and amenities that make Summerlin such a great place to live. The Best of Summerlin competition is especially meaningful because it’s the voting public who decides the winners. And winners are proud to showcase their Best of Summerlin designation all year long.”

While nominations could be made by anyone living in southern Nevada, finalists are required to be located in Summerlin. Winners were announced at the Summerlin Festival of Arts on October 14 in Downtown Summerlin. Look for the Best of Summerlin logo proudly displayed at your favorite community spot!

  • Best Place to Work Out – TruFusion at Downtown Summerlin
  • Best Doctor – Dr. Matthew Barton, HealthCare Partners of Nevada
  • Best Veterinarian – Dr. Cade Lavengco, Town Center Animal Hospital
  • Best Kids’ Menu – Pancho’s Mexican Restaurant at Downtown Summerlin
  • Best Locally Owned Restaurant – Rachel’s Kitchen at Trails Village Center
  • Most Romantic Restaurant – Vintner Grill
  • Best Place to Dine with a Dog – Lazy Dog at Downtown Summerlin
  • Best Public Golf Course – TPC Las Vegas
  • Best Community Event – Downtown Summerlin Fitness on the Lawn
  • Best Small Business (non-restaurant, 20 or fewer employees) – Tie with Vision by Amel and Tiger Lily Floral – both at Downtown Summerlin
  • Best Large Retail Business (non-restaurant, more than 20 employees) – Trader Joe’s at Downtown Summerlin
  • Best Kids’ Athletic Program – Summerlin North Little League
  • Best Place to Watch a Game – City National Arena
  • Best Weekend Activity Spot – Red Rock Canyon
