New Vista, a local nonprofit committed to providing people of all ages with intellectual and developmental disabilities, equal opportunities and supported living arrangements so they may experience life to the fullest, recently got a boost from Summerlin builder, Shea Homes.

Working with HomeAid, the official outreach partner of Southern Nevada Home Builders Association, Shea Homes served as Build Captain to renovate one of four homes at New Vista Ranch in Northwest Las Vegas.

This home will be used specifically to house youth with intellectual disabilities and is the second home renovated at New Vista Ranch by HomeAid, which plans to complete renovations on the final two homes next year. The first home renovation was completed earlier this year with the help of Build Captain, Woodside Homes, yet another Summerlin home builder.

The renovation project included new kitchen cabinets, appliances, flooring throughout the home, bathroom remodel, interior paint and new light fixtures throughout the home.

All labor and materials were donated to complete the project, thanks to Shea Homes and its partners. Thank you, Shea Homes, for stepping up to make life better for those in our community who are considered among the most vulnerable. We appreciate you!
